As Christmas is fast approaching, I enjoy the hustle and bustle of the holiday. Jodie has decorated the house beautifully, you can feel the warmth and love she has for our home in the way she decorates. Everything that she places has the perfect touch. I've been busy making Christmas Fudge Candy. I usually make about 40 lbs or so per year. Trust me, I do not eat all of it. It's the same recipe I've used for many years now. I begin early in the year thinking/praying about who to share it with. Without delay God begins to speak to my heart about what to do with all that candy. He will put someone in my thoughts and begins to show me what I should do. It's amazing how straight he makes my path if I will just let him. I feel that its very important that all I do in my life brings Glory and Honor to Jesus.
It is in the thought of careful preparation, and trying to give the perfect gift that I think of Jesus being born in a manger in Bethlehem. I think about those that were invited to attend this joyful and wondrous occasion.
You would think that only the presidents and priesthood, royal family would have exclusive member only access.
But, God had put his Perfect Touch on how the foretold Savior would enter this world. I think of the Star, the shepherds, the kings and wise men that came to see the new born Savior. For unto this day a Savior is born the scripture proclaims. But that's not the end of the story. How many of us leave the story of Jesus lying in the manger? Indeed, sweet little baby Jesus is sad perspective the secular world has of this joyous occasion. His birth was only the beginning of God's Perfect Gift to us. He went on to his ministry sharing with us his message, Salvation by Grace through Faith in JESUS, performing many miracles, teaching the foundation life. It was to be in the end of his time on earth that we witness the fullness of the Greatest Gift of All. When Jesus was crucified the righteous demands of a HOLY GOD were satisfied by His glorious work upon the cross. It is in that demonstration of perfect love that Jesus bridged the gap between GOD and man, becoming the sacrifice that was necessary. That's right, GOD truly gave his only begotten Son, John 3:16, so that man should not perish. It is in this verse that we find the Greatest Gift of All, SALVATION !! AMEN !!. Romans 10:9 confessing, believing , accepting Jesus.
I'm so thankful that I don't have to depend upon sweet little baby Jesus to save me from my sin. Aren't you?
It's within this thought I wish you a Merry Christmas. GOD's wonderful gift is still available to all who believe Romans 1:16. That's right there is still power in the Gift. Check it out ! Remember a gift is only a gift when it is given and then received.
